It’s Friday and that means it’s time for us to trawl our inboxes to pluck out the finest infographic we’ve seen this week.
This time around the winner is Monetate with a graphic that looks at traveller preferences to determine the best times during the booking process to offer upsells and cross-sells.
For example, 45% of people who book hotels online say that they'd prefer to receive ancillary offers after choosing their hotel, but prior to booking.
Ecommerce plays a major role in allowing consumers to both research and make travel purchases, with as much as 75% of holiday planning taking place online.
New research from JiWire also shows that consumers are increasingly using mobile devices for their travel research, as 56% of consumers use their laptop to research travel options, compared to 49% on tablet and 48% on smartphone.
It’s that time again when we present the finest digital marketing infographic we’ve seen this week and I’m pleased to say that this time round the winner is a friend of mine.
This infographic was created by our very own Matt Owen to summarise some of the findings from the new Econsultancy/Adobe Quarterly Digital Intelligence Briefing titled ‘From Content Management to Customer Experience Management’.
The report, based on a global survey of more than 1,000 respondents, is devoted to the topic of web content management (WCM), an area which is becoming a focal point for companies wishing to deliver a truly seamless multichannel customer experience.
Lately it seems like content marketing is all people are talking about. B2B marketers however, don’t always see themselves as getting a slice of that pie.

This time it comes from Quick Sprout and looks at optimising contact forms for conversions. Admittedly the colour scheme is quite bland, but the quality of the information elevates it above the others I’ve seen this week.
It includes stats on the optimum number of fields per form and the kind of personal information you should avoid asking for.

Regular readers of the Econsultancy blog will be used to seeing our ‘top six infographics’ roundup each Friday, but it is my sad duty to report that it has been discontinued.
The reason for the post’s demise is down to the fact that quality infographics have become increasingly thin on the ground, so finding six each week was a difficult task.
But fear not, because though the ‘top six’ post is gone, in its place we’ll now publish the best infographic of the week every Friday. Unless we only get rubbish infographics, in which case we won’t bother to publish any at all.

Sports, and especially 'in-play', betting is leading the growth in the UK's online gambling market, with the sector worth more than £2bn in 2012.
For example, football betting has grown by 69% during 2011 to 2012, making it the second most lucrative, after horse racing.
Stickeyes has released a report on the sector, which looks at the top 50 keywords driving online search, and which brands are cleaning up.
