<p>Newsbot normally comes looking for new stories <em>at least</em> once an hour, but we've not seen any action all afternoon.</p>
<p>The problem seems to be affecting the vast majority of Google News sources. This much is clear if you <a href="http://news.google.co.uk/news?hl=en&ned=uk&ie=UTF-8&scoring=d&q=the&btnG=Search+News">search on a generic term such as 'the' on Google News</a>, and then sort results by date. There are more than three million pages indexed for this search, yet <em>none have been updated within the past two hours</em>.</p>
<p>Note too that on <a href="http://news.google.co.uk/news?ned=us">the homepage for Google News (US)</a> there are currently no stories showing that are more recent than four hours old.</p>
<p>A blip, I'm sure. At least let's hope it is a blip. I must read up on the terms of that AP deal...</p>
