  &lt;p&gt;Newsbot normally comes looking for new stories &lt;em&gt;at least&lt;/em&gt; once an hour, but we've not seen any action all afternoon.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;The problem seems to be affecting the vast majority of&#160;Google News sources. This much is clear if you &lt;a href="http://news.google.co.uk/news?hl=en&amp;amp;ned=uk&amp;amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;amp;scoring=d&amp;amp;q=the&amp;amp;btnG=Search+News"&gt;search on a generic term such as 'the' on Google News&lt;/a&gt;, and then sort results by date. There are more than three million pages indexed for this search, yet &lt;em&gt;none have been updated within the past two hours&lt;/em&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;Note too that on &lt;a href="http://news.google.co.uk/news?ned=us"&gt;the homepage for Google News (US)&lt;/a&gt; there are currently no stories showing that are more recent than four hours old.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;A blip, I'm sure. At least let's hope it is a blip. I must read up on the terms of that AP deal...&lt;/p&gt;
