Tesco is looking to create a portal with feeds from other property sites displayed alongside its own listings. But predictably, sites that are controlled by or rely on estate agents are opposed to the idea.

Rightmove, Propertyfinder and Primelocation, which take their listings from agents, are all concerned about Tesco's plans and have so far refused to cooperate.

Propertyfinder CEO Warren Bright told the paper:

"Their proposition is not in the interests of the estate agent, who is our customer.

"They wanted to position their private sellers at the top of their listings, followed by our listings. They won't be getting feeds from us."
