Pheedo launches 'FeedPowered' ads

Pheedo, an RSS ad network, has announced the launch of its FeedPowered ad platform, which enables marketers to use text and video RSS content within ad widgets.

FeedPowered ads are on-site advertisements which can present updated text, video or audio from any RSS feed.

Epsilon execs discuss email marketing

Myspace gains highlight reporting problems

This week’s news that Myspace has overtaken Yahoo! in terms of page views seems to have kicked off a much-needed debate about how sites' popularity is measured.

Research, released by comScore on Tuesday, found the social networking site had 0.6bn more page views than Yahoo! in November – a boost to Fox Interactive Media in its battle with the web giant for ad dollars.

Pluck to close its RSS reader

Pluck to close... Pluck, the two year old Texas-based social media company, has announced that it’s planning to shut off its RSS reader product line to focus into other business areas.

A notice on Pluck’s website advises that its RSS readers for Internet Explorer, FireFox and Pluck's web edition will be discontinued from January 7th, 2007. Subscribers will have two months to export their subscriptions to other readers.

The revenue model of user generated content?

Let’s face it shall we - no one creates something and then gives it away for free, expecting no return...

I mean, as much as we’d like to do stuff and give it away for free, in the interests of making the world a better place, the unfortunate reality is that we all have to earn our crust somehow, and if we throw our eggs into the user generated content basket, then you have to ask what the hell your revenue model is going to be?

Users mystified by Web 2.0, says report

Nielsen//NetRatings has released a survey  that shows the latest internet trends and technologies are still a mystery to many UK consumers.

The report shows 52% of British web users believe online and digital technologies make their life easier, but a similar percentage say they find them difficult to follow.
