Now you can Tweet your way to cheaper groceries. Coupons.com has inked a deal with Twitter through which followers of Coupons.com will automatically receive new coupon offers as they become available. The tweets will include links to the printable coupons for quick printing.
Coupons.com launched a Facebook application earlier this year, after acquiring mobile grocery shopping application Grocery iQ to integrate digital coupons into the shopping experience. It currently has 657 Facebook friends and is the leading coupon app. Grocery iQ is available on the iPhone and will be included on Google's Android handsets this summer.
The viral potential of Coupons.com on Twitter is huge. It currently has 112 followers. No other coupon companies are substantially represented on the site. For Facebook a user that adds the app gets an unlimited amount of coupons. Example: $2 off coupon for Swiffer can be sent to as many friends as the user wants to send it to, and Coupons says it will "instantly provide you with a selection of coupons for everyday products. For every coupon you print, discard, or share with a friend, we'll replace it with another until you've bled us dry!"
At the rate both Twitter and Facebook are growing, Coupons.com will be responsible for a fair amount of spent printer cartridges.

Please forgive me for the flagrant self-promotion, but we have a similar service for our Offers at twitter.com/OffersUpdates - just using an RSS feed of all the stuff added to the site
