Digital advertising network Miva Media has inked an exclusive PPC content deal in the UK with Condé Nast Interactive, beating off competition from Yahoo! and Google.
Miva will deliver PPC ads across Condé Nast Interactive's portfolio of 12 UK websites, which includes Vogue.com, GQ.com, Houseandgarden.co.uk, and Tatler.co.uk.

Web video ads are more effective than TV commercials, and people read online articles in greater depth than print articles, according to new research.
Viewers had better brand recall from video ads embedded in shows watched online than from regular TV advertisements, according to research firm Millward Brown.

WPP boss Martin Sorrell has dropped a libel action against two employees he claimed had used an anonymous blog to slur his character, instead opting to settle for £120,000.
Marco Benatti and Marco Tinelli, heads of a WPP Italian subsidiary, were alleged to have likened Sorrell to a Godfather-type mafia boss and published "grossly offensive" images of the advertising chief and an ex-lover.

The BBC Trust has asked the BBC's management for more information on its proposals to carry advertising on the Corporation's websites outside the UK.
The BBC Trust has asked management to look into the matter further, and wants to know how ad revenue would be invested into the BBC's UK services for the benefit of the licence payer.

UK online ad spend has overtaken that spent on national newspaper advertising for the first time, while Google has also extended its dominance of the market.
New figures from the IAB and PwC reveal that online ad spending passed the £2bn mark for the first time last year, with the market growing by a massive 41% from 2005.

A survey by the Email Sender and Provider Coalition (ESPC), an anti-spam organisation, has shown that US email users are increasingly savvy when dealing with spam and unwanted emails.
The survey, carried out in conjunction with market research firm Ispos, polled 2,252 internet users who use AOL, MSN/Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo for email.
