Hi
I would like to target the following keyphrase for SEO :
Acer Laptop Charger
According to google keyword tool, Acer Laptop Charger searches are 1600 per month whereas Acer Laptop Chargers is 260.
Do i target the term Acer Laptop Chargers (ie the plural version) and that will then optimise for Acer Laptop Charger ?
Thanks

Hi Paul,
Hope you're ok. Singular and plural versions of keywords can be both covered, whether both on the same page or by creating 2 different pages for each.
Here my advice would be to go for the plural as Google Insights sees a noticeable difference in search volume and not just a small correlating difference:
http://www.google.com/insights/search/#q=Acer%20Laptop%20Charger%2CAcer%20Laptop%20Chargers&cmpt=q
You can then create another page later on for the singular, perhaps a blog post entitled "10 places you may have left your Acer laptop charger" ;)

Hi Alex
Thanks for the reply, i've had a look at the link for google insights. I'm assuming you'd recommend targetting the plural (which show's less searches) in order to target the singular version also then for the same page ?
Thanks

duh. insights says singular is searched for more. the other way round from my last advice - target singular for long term and see how the singular page performs with the plural keyword. if it doesn't perform as well as you'd hope then create a second page for the plural.
sorry for confusion!
