Hellomagazine.com has partnered with search engine Ask Jeeves (www.ask.co.uk) to provide celebrity content for its Famous People Smart Search tool. The two well-known brands will work together to provide users with up-to-the-minute hellomagazine.com profiles for celebrities searched for on Ask Jeeves.
Pioneered by Ask Jeeves, the Smart Search offers more effective searches by giving the user direct results in a box out format at the top of the search results page instead of directing them to just '10 blue links', providing a more intuitive search experience.
A user performing a search for a famous UK celebrity such as “Billie Piper”, “Jamie Oliver” or “Shirley Bassey" will receive a picture and lead text directly on the page. Users can the click on the ‘More’ function to read the full profile on hellomagazine.com. There is also a link to the homepage of the hellomagazine.com website within the ‘Go to’ section of the Famous People Search.
The box out result is triggered on a selection of UK and global celebrities and historical figures and is one of the most popular Smart Searches provided by Ask Jeeves.
Tree Elven, Website Editor, said: “We’re very happy to be providing quality profiles from our six sections to users of Ask Jeeves’ Famous People Search. This is our first deal with a major search engine in the UK, and we are really excited about expanding our relationship with them in the future.”
Tony Macklin, Director of Product added: “We aim to provide the most relevant and up to date content for our users and partnering with hellomagazine.com was the logical step when looking for the best celebrity information.”
