New appointments in paid and natural search from Greenlight, StickyEyes and Red Bull
Independent digital media agency, agenda21, is growing its search engine marketing department with three new appointments and a promotion. The expansion follows a raft of recent search marketing account wins including Elemis, Jury’s Inn and Specialist Holidays Group.
The appointments include Eileen Considine who joins from Greenlight and Hunain Khan who comes from Red Bull who will manage paid search engine marketing, and Mike Steele who leaves a position as SEO Lead at StickyEyes to join agenda21’s natural media team.
The growth follows a restructure for the agency which last year separated it search engine marketing activity out of the agency’s media team in order to offer a more granular service to clients. Considine and Khan will deliver detailed PPC activity for clients including Totaljobs, Elsevier, Jury’s Inn and Investec incorporating data feeds, detailed analytics and niche targeting. They will report into Joe Roman.
Steele will focus on natural media including digital asset management for clients such as Bacardi, DFDS Seaways, the Motorcycle Industry Association and Elemis, reporting into Monique Slater, Head of Natural Media. He will work alongside Geoff Griffiths who is promoted to Natural Media Manager after almost two years at the agency.
Commenting on the appointments, Rhys Williams, Managing Partner at agenda21, explains, “As we continue to win more search engine marketing clients and the discipline becomes increasingly complicated, we need to recruit more staff to ensure we can implement the granular service and forensic analysis we have become known for. There is a huge opportunity to improve the performance of search campaigns by digging into the details - from adding complete subtitles to an online video to integrating internal and external data feeds, to prioritising technical tasks based on their commercial value to the client – and that means we need even more skilled people in the team.”
Eileen Considine spent two years at Greenlight, rising from a data analysts working on SEO and PPC to be the primary search account manager for five major retail clients. Prior to that she worked at Billetts using econometric modelling to understand the incremental effects of advertising on ROI. At Red Bull, Hunain Khan worked on marketing and brand visibility within London for the energy drink whilst Mike Steele spent a year at StickyEyes working on SEO strategies for a range of clients.
agenda21 is recruiting for further staff to join the paid and natural media teams.
