Education and Qualifications
Big Star Copywriting is run by Derryck Strachan. Derryck has been a commercial writer for over 15 years, first as a staff copywriter for Warner Music and then as a freelance copywriter and journalist working for clients/publications including Amazon, BBC.co.uk, Rough Guides, World Circuit Records, Tower Records, Time Life Publications, MyMovies.net and others.
Following a move to Devon, Derryck shifted into food copywriting and journalism including work for Time Out, AA Guides and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. That led to a stint as a marketing consultant to the Ashburton Cookery School who he helped to become one of the UK's leading cookery schools largely through web marketing.
He started Big Star Copywriting (originally known as Copywriting Devon) in 2005.
