The World is changing faster than people can cope. Sales is in denial, believing the old face to face ways are still the best. Marketing is clutching at straws as they try to work out how to thrive in a customer driven market. Both need help with strategic direction, with understanding the problems and solutions. There is a massive opportunity for the company which gets it even half right.
Most companies have simple things holding them back - they can transform effectiveness by dismantling the sales prevention department, resolving issues in their offer, focus, customer understanding, engagement strategy or methodology. They can follow the herd or lead the way, turning change into competitive advantage.
But they need an idea entrepreneur to make it happen. That's where I come in.
Working with small companies allied to major vendors and running an agency and a publisher has given me an accelerated learning curve. A market strategist, I work hand in hand with the MD and Sales to create a better revenue and business models for the new world driven by the internet, mobile and social networking.
I run short, intensive collaborations to explore opportunities or isolate problems. I help companies to move forward with new methods of marketing and selling. I act as the marketing expert, either standalone for smaller organisations or as backup to in-house teams. And I write books, blogs and videos on better ways to do business.
