About this Guide

The Product or System description is drafted at the beginning of a project to outline its purpose and objectives. The purpose of this document is to initiate further exploration and to provide a constant point of reference to why the project was initiated in the first place. Particularly critical in the web environment where the shape and delivery of the project are constantly in flux. At this stage there is not necessarily a detailed scope, requirements or business case. All subsequent features and requirements should pertain to this original description, otherwise they are surplus to delivering the goals of the project.
