Hi, is the SEO Best Practice Jan 2012 guide still relevant and is it worth studying ? I know that SEO can change quickly and with this guide being a year and a half old is it now out of date ?

Hi Paul, it is definitely worth studying but just keep in mind that a lot has changed since then. There should be another algorithm update soon aswell which means more changes however nothing immensely drastic that would render the guide useless.
Try checking out blogs and websites of industry leaders. I myself keep on top of places like SEO Moz etc on a daily basis.
We update our own blog http://www.uc4.co.uk/blog.asp that has some useful tips etc and gives a fairly good idea but just keep looking around and remember that SEO is currently subjective- everyone has their own opinion so keep an open mind.

Hi Paul, we are updating the report later this year, but it is certainly still very valid, especially in terms of the underlying principles of SEO.
