Online marketing manager at The Carphone Warehouse Plc

Hi
Our legal team have recently insisted that we include many many lines of legal copy on the actual landing page, in the same font size as the offer copy and right next to the offer.
I'm quite certain that it can be caveated in eg. the heading and then appear as small print at the bottom of the page or in a pop up.
Or if it is on the homepage, have full t&cs one click away. Also we do not have to show full t&cs online, if the product is being sold in our stores only?
Are there any sites/papers that I could forward onto them on this pls?
Thanks

Why are the legal team insisting on having this on the homepage of your website? That would be the first question I would ask?
Most sites I visit have a Terms and conditions link at the bottom of the page and or a legal disclaimer link visible during some kind of a transaction?
I would go back and question the logic of doing this with your legal team?
I found this with a quick search in google. Seems to be clear enough

Good luck with the stand off!

For legal information about what notices (Ts+Cs, privacy policy etc) to place on websites, I've found Out-Law.com more useful than the rest e.g. Terms and Conditions of Use checklist - http://bit.ly/rELaM6
