The New Year ABC Electronic audit confirms www.hellomagazine.com’s position as the place for celebrity, royalty and entertainment coverage on the web.
www.hellomagazine.com recorded 13,490,487 page impressions for January 2004, showing a 35% increase on page impressions from the October 2003 audit.
The site’s unique users were also measured for the first time and the results prove that once a user is hooked on www.hellomagazine.com, they come back for more. 766,191 unique users were recorded for the first month of 2004.
The amount of visits to www.hellomagazine.com has increased audit-on-audit from 1,566,174 in October 2003 to 1,766,889 in January 2004.
With an average of 435,177 page impressions per day during January, interest in the site was at a record high thanks in part to our interactive features. The recently introduced horoscope section, with exclusive online forecasts by renowned astrologer Jonathan Cainer, has become an integral part of www.hellomagazine.com’s everyday experience. The site’s end-of-year polls and Most Attractive votes for 2003 generated, as always, a massive buzz among readers eager to make their feelings know on their favourite celebrities.
Building on this success has helped www.hellomagazine.com become shortlisted for the second consecutive year as one of the contenders for Interactive Consumer Magazine of the Year 2004, in the PPA Awards for Editorial and Publishing Excellence.
Tree Elven, Website Editor, said: “We got 2004 off to a cracking start! The unique user figure proves that readers really rely on us for celebrity and royalty news, and we can see that they love all the interactive features we provide. This year we’re moving into the mobile market, which means that our readers will literally be able to hold the best celebrity news in the palm of their hands! People love our content – it’s our job to see they never go short.”
