Skive Creative deliver first online campaign for Stolichnaya
Premium Vodka brand Stolichnaya, this week, launches its first ever online viral campaign. The campaign, conceived by Revolver Communications and produced by Skive Creative, promotes the brand as the only authentic Russian vodka made in Russia by Russians for Russians and the best selling vodka in the world. The online activity is part of a branding exercise, which includes, PR. The viral campaign hosted at www.stolibrides.com runs for 2 months.
According to Skive Creative’s Commercial Director, Ben Palmer, Stolichnaya’s move into viral content reflects the increasing interest by brands to look at online to deliver more than just banners, buttons and pop-ups. He says: “This is a first online venture for Stolichnaya and it allows the brand to test the effectiveness of interactive content. They are also keen to learn how marketing through interaction can play an important part in their overall marketing strategy.”
Revolver Communications commissioned interactive content specialists Skive Creative to produce a tongue-in-cheek microsite and viral campaign. Called ‘Stoli Brides’, the site, www.stolibrides.com, mimics the many Russian Bride online services. Visitors are given the chance to find a genuine Russian beauty via a simulated database matchmaking mechanic and they are given a rather cheeky conclusion. The site also offers an opportunity to win cases of Stolichnaya to people forwarding the execution onto friends.

The campaign is aimed at men aged 25-34 yrs, and is being seeded as entertaining and fun content via Skive’s online influencer network. It will also be placed on sites such as Lycos, TTR2 and a network of other viral Blogs and portals, and distributed to a relevant portion of the Maxim email database.
