An early starter in the online marketing channel, I have spent the last ten years in online marketing roles focusing on generating qualified traffic, website conversions and great ROI to meet and surpass desired growth rates, whilst based in both Europe and NZ.
I have almost always worked client side and managed all aspects of marketing in-house. Apart from a break where I worked at Google, gaining insights into clients business models, business issues, budget cycles, objectives, and growth strategies to find online marketing opportunities that increase revenue and successfully meet the client’s objectives.
In 2008 returning to NZ with a working knowledge of all aspects of online marketing I quickly became aware of the gap between the UK and NZ in terms of online marketing understanding, uptake and resultant low budget allocation. There has always been a void in relation to digital agencies providing sound paid search, organic search and website conversion rate optimisation offerings.
The creation of search agency Search Republic, a combination of NZ's largest consumer of SEM and ex-googlers should help to fill that void.
