About Me

As Operations Director for a fast growing global translations agency, Digital Marketing is increasingly becoming a core area of our business. Day to day we are working with Media agencies around the world, working with them to create, manage and roll out multilingual content on a variety of platforms. We also help with the initial market research, rationalisation and other related tasks where multilingual skills, translation and/or copy-writing in different languages are needed. It's a really exciting area to be working in and our business is constantly evolving and adapting so that we can offer fresh, tailored approaches to our clients.

Education and Qualifications

I studied for my undergraduate degree at the University of Manchester, in Hispanic Studies, and went on to complete an MA in Translation Studies. Once I graduated I joined a traditional and well established translation agency, where I worked as a project manager for 18 months before joining TranslateMedia as a startup. Four years later and we are managing a global team of 35 in-house, with over 3,000 in country freelance professional linguists, and all the challenges of operating a global business. It is a really exciting and engaging role I find myself in. On the job in the last four years I have learned a huge variety of skills as the company has grown. I now have knowledge in IT, telecomms, managing people, creating ever more insightful management information reports and acting on them, structuring meetings to ensure information flow, motivation and productivity throughout the organisation, and developing and actioning sales and marketing strategies, which I hope to improve upon by completing the Econsultancy MSC in Digital Marketing.
