Working on review of B2B Corporate website design/experience for client - any pointers to good research reports on best practice in this area?

Not sure about any research but you might want to look at Investis and Bowen Craggs as they have experience in these areas and have useful newsletters, papers, seminars etc.

When it comes to listed companies I also regard Investis as the number 1! I have found it difficult though to find web providers who specifically claim to be B2B experts. Whereby even B2B can mean many different things I think - e-commerce site, subscription based site, non-commercial, professional services, etc. Not sure what the focus/objective/industry of your site is, but maybe you can find something useful here http://www.intendance.com. Or, I imagine that a search for B2B Online Marketing on http://econsultancy.com could deliver useful results!
