I run a charity's Twitter account with 12,000 followers. I would love the ability to filter out @ replies that comes with a verified account. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get noticed by Twitter to get a verified account?

Hi, you'll have to contact Twitter directly about this, as verification is handed out fairly arbitrarily (unless you're an advertiser ;)- is your first point of contact as they are usually a bit more responsive than the regular support line. If you have any problems drop me a line via my Econsultancy account and I'll see if I can put you in touch directly.
Out of interest, you've mentioned filtering out @replies - I'm not quite clear on what you mean by this? Are you talking about @mentions of your brand name? Or something else? It should be something you can filter fairly easily using Tweetdeck, Hootsuite or a similar tool - If you can provide a bit more detail would be happy to show you how.
Hope that helps,
Matt
