Director of E-Commerce Strategy 

As Director of E-Commerce Strategy in Cross Channel Experience you will lead the development of innovative strategies to improve business performance for global Commerce Clients. You will work on projects to develop global Commerce Business, Operating, and IT strategies. You will also be expected to support the sales effort, helping to win new Cross Channel Commerce opportunities. Finally you will be expected to provide Thought Leadership in Cross Channel Commerce that can be taken to the market through publications, forums and conferences.  

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sell, provide and deliver cross channel commerce marketing and related brand strategies 
  • Lead the gathering and prioritization of business requirements based upon commerce business needs, user needs and technology capabilities 
  • Review, document and assess client commerce operations and technology 
  • Develop and apply conceptual frameworks and analytical approaches 
  • Stay on top of and leverage information on trends in the global commerce industry 
  • Conduct and execute primary and secondary research, and market/competitor analyses 
  • Perform financial analysis and develop business cases
  • Develop and present solutions and recommendations
  • Facilitate meetings, working sessions and workshops
  • Create strong working relationships with clients in business and IT roles and support business development activities.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through white papers and conference speaking engagements.

Experience Guidelines

  • Profound relevant experience with an online retailer; business analysis and consulting experience a plus (ideally in ecommerce, marketing, merchandising, or operations)
  • Deep understanding of customer touch points (store, call centre, web, mobile, kiosk, catalogue)
  • Experience in retail, CPG or X-Channel experience
  • Implementation experience in the latest tools, methods and approaches that are driving higher conversion rates, increased average order value, increased share of wallet, and more efficient acquisition techniques across channel  
  • Ability to develop traditional customer segmentation and influencer segmentation models.  
  • Expertise in loyalty techniques and methods and cross-channel analytics and measurement
