The Online Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving our online acquisition strategy for our pay per view site and spearhead the move into subscriptions sales.
Broadly the successful candidate will:
• Manage online marketing campaigns 1837online.com
• Acquire online customers within defined Cost per Click (CPC), Conversion, Cost per Acquisition (CPA) & Return on Investment (ROI) parameters
• Significantly contribute to the large growth aspirations for pay per view and subscription revenue
• Implement effective Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) campaigns, so that natural search becomes our biggest single referrer
• Align online marketing campaigns with offline campaigns
• Contribute to the build of an online brand
Candidate Requirements
This is a senior role jointly responsible for defining online commercial strategy with the S&M Director, Customer Services Manager, Product Developer, and business analyst.The role requires at least 3 years experience in online marketing management with a proven track record in delivering e-commerce results. The right person will have managed a successful search marketing campaigns, demonstrated by ROI, for a major e-commerce brand.
Essential:
Solid experience of full range of online marketing channels, particularly email marketing and paid search.
Strong technical knowledge of email campaign software.
Thorough understanding of relationship marketing techniques.
Creative and strategic thinker.
Excellent communication skills, including ability to write compelling sales copy.
Highly numerate, with ability to analyse data and use it to formulate and inform strategy.
Determination to meet challenging goals.
Team player, with ability to enthuse, motivate and work with colleagues at all levels.
Desirable:
Understanding of basic family history techniques and why it is a compelling hobby for millions of people.
