Position: TradePlanner – Online Clothing
Salary: Excellent Compensation

Tesco.com is planning beyond their stores clothing business to launch a new clothing site in the late stages of 2009. You will be working closely with the team who has built the traditional clothing side of the business as they are preparing to put their existing store range online and extend into online-exclusive products.
They are looking for an analytical marketer with experience in online clothing to help manage the business from these initial inception stages.
ROLE:
1) Manage online promotional plan:
a) Agree promotional strategy for online range with clothing team.
b) Use web analytics, sales data and email click/conversion data to decide which promotions to feature where on the site and emails (plan, analyse, and report on content).
2) Forecast sales that result from plans, identify gaps, and propose contingency activity to fill gaps.
3) Work with the team to create a cross-media marketing plan to deliver the stretching sales targets for our new clothing site:
a) Identify cost-effective strategies to create awareness, drive new customers, prompt repeat purchase and increase basket size.
b) Define key messages and plan activity across the communications channels – email, Clubcard, PR, website, online advertising, above the line, store space. Work with channel teams to ensure all activity is delivered.
c) Manage marketing budget.
d) Understand what marketing levers work best for each situation, and allocate budget appropriately.
4) Customer champion for tesco.com clothing site:
a) Understand what the customer wants from this business.
b) Know how our proposition meets or doesn’t meet customer needs.
c) Understand how we stack up vs. competitors.
d) Influence business to change to meet customer needs.
5) Use customer insight, market research and analysis to review all activity and implement learning’s in future activity.
Candidate Requirements
a) Must have online clothing experience.
b) Excellent analytical skills. Experienced with decision-making using web analytics, online sales data, and e-mail data.
c) 2:1 Degree
d) High customer focus.
e) Collaborative working. This role is extremely cross-functional and requires the ability to work with people f) all levels and across large teams. It also involves coordinating people to deliver activity.
g) Creativity, new ideas, and the courage to lead the business to change.
h) Commercial awareness.
i) Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
