Introduction The Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Consultant will report to the Head of Search and will work within a new media agency to advise on, set up, manage and optimise all things SEO for a range of clients. The position will be based in central Bristol, England. A limited amount of travel will be required for client meetings. <ul> Core responsibilities include: <li>Developing and managing all elements of SEO for a growing range of clients. This will involve strategy formulation, recommending on content and onsite optimisation, as well as link building and wider site promotion.</li> <li>Working with the web design and build team to inform the structure and content of new websites from an SEO point of view.</li> <li>Creating insightful and actionable SEO performance reports, measuring campaign success against client KPIs.</li> <li>Providing clients with general SEO consultancy, advising and educating them on the major factors that influence natural search.</li> <li>Keeping up-to-date on all industry trends and developments in order to further improve campaign performance and provide an innovative SEO service</li> </ul>

Essential: The successful candidate must: <ul> <li>Live and breathe SEO by taking an unhealthy interest in all parts of the industry.</li> <li>Be able to provide examples of previous SEO work and demonstrate the results and success of this work.</li> <li>Display a high level of written English.</li> <li>Be literate with standard web software and content management systems (CMS).</li> <li>Be a proficient user of MS Office products. Excel is of particular importance.</li> <li>Be analytical by nature and imaginative, with the ability to interpret data and create insightful reporting .</li> <li>Deliver on promises and deadlines.</li> <li>Demonstrate the capacity to work on own initiative and also be a good team-player.</li> <li>Display a methodical approach to business and development including good documentation skills.</li> <li>Be able to learn quickly both at a business process level and also at a technical/IT level.</li> <li>Be educated to degree level.</li> <li>Be confident.</li> <li>Have 2+ years experience within a search marketing environment. </li> </ul> Desirable: <ul> <li>Detailed understanding of the synergies between paid and natural search. </li> <li>Previous experience working in an Agency environment in a search marketing role. </li> <li>Experience of employing SEO within the travel sector. </li> <li>Experience within other areas of digital marketing e.g. social media, email and affiliate marketing. </li> </ul> Other Information This role is a proactive one where the individual is expected to be self-motivated as a key member of a small yet growing agency. You will be expected to be “hands-on” and be competent with business and technical work in a small business environment. Cultural fit is important as the company hopes the candidate will play a positive role in shaping culture and working atmosphere.
