Job Description

The Senior Producer is the primary owner of delivery workstreams within Wheel. The emphasis of the role is ensuring that work is delivered on time, to estimate, and to the quality expected.

The Senior Producer will typically be engaged by an account team at the start of the project to ensure that estimates are produced and that resources are provisionally identified. The Senior Producer may participate in the pitch process as part of requirements gathering and specification.

The role is also highly client facing with the Senior Producer being a central point of contact for the client from a delivery perspective. The Senior Producer is required to present work, manage client expectations and control change.

The key challenge of the role is to ensure that work is delivered within budget and to the timeline, whilst maintaining the highest possible quality. 

Key responsibilities of the role:
Defines and documents the project scope, its plan and resources
Controls workstreams, managing risk, issues and change
Manages implementation staff
Controls and ensures quality of deliverables

Key relationships :
Client: communication and presentation of scope, design, copy and final project
Account teams: account planning and strategy
Resource Planner: resource scheduling
Production Manager: reporting, sharing development of process
Brand Guardians: development of creative briefs
Copywriter: project copywriting needs
Implementation personnel: staff, workstream and project delivery

Broad targets and goals:
Effective management of clients and project teams throughout a project’s lifecycle to ensure delivery to estimate timescales
Continuing development of effective management and delivery processes
Minimising rework through the application of quality procedures

Candidate Requirements

At least 4 years experience in a similar role
A passion for digital media
Strong project management skills
· Ability to gather and specify requirements
· Experience in estimating budgets and creating timelines
· Project management and change control
· Team management and leadership

Awareness and appreciation of the following
· Digital branding and design
· Information architecture
· Usability and accessibility
· Web technologies
