T-Mobile has started offering its pre-pay customers web access from their mobiles for a maximum of £1 a day.
The Web 'n' Walk service costs less than 1p per kilobyte and has a cap of £1 per day, beyond which usage is free. The offer is open to customers of the operator’s Mates Rates, Text Appeal or Everyone pay-as-you-go plans.
We've used the T-Mobile Web 'n' Walk service, which offers unrestricted access to the internet, unlike certain other operators that have notoriously favoured a 'walled garden' approach.
T-Mobile's handset range includes Danger's Sidekick, which loads web pages quicker than most as a result of compressing pages and images at the server side.

This seems like quite a long winded scheme for people to fully take advantage of. Surely it can't add more value than paying monthly contracts.
