Thank you for coming to party with us

Hundreds of internet pros turned up for last night’s Lemon Studios Summer Party at The Havana Bar & Club in London, which was roaring good fun.

Many attendees will be in full-on recovery mode judging by some of the strategic quaffing we witnessed. The cocktails were especially dangerous, particularly those that were tipped into glasses the size of small baths.

Happiness = large cocktails

We’ve been hearing reports of partygoers dozing off on night buses and waking up in far-flung places such as Barnet, which is always a sign of a good evening.

Others were seen in the early hours trying to figure out how to find a hotel (that they’d not yet booked, nor identified). Admirable stuff.

Men in Havana

We hope those of you who made the effort had a good time and enjoyed it as much as we did. It is always good to put a few more faces to names, so for those of you who couldn’t make it we’ll hopefully see you next time around.

There is a Flickr photostream of the event that contains plenty of photographic evidence to suggest that many of you, like us, joined the Too Much Fun Club.

So, party people, when do you want us to organise the next one...?

Yeh, I think a regular event is great idea, its a great forum for meeting new people and exchanging ideas

And I'd maybe add some entertainment, something interesting, I can recommend a great Flamenco dancer (e-tertainment 2.0!)

The turn out on Wednesday was fabulous - however it made it that much harder to find the right people to talk to.

Could I suggest stealing a leaf out of the affiliate event book?

They employ this great system at functions where badges are colour coded.
You get a red sticker if you're an agency, blue if you're an ecommerce company/retailer (merchant), green if you're a consultant etc.

That way you could 'mingle', scan for the right coloured badge, and then introduce yourself with reckless abandon?

I was looking for some new freelance consultant contacts on Wednesday, and gave up after wading through half a dozen agencies, other retailers etc.

    Just a suggestion.

Looking forward to the next one either way!

P.S. If the lady (Catherine?) from 'Sticky Content' was there on Wednesday sorry I missed you and please feel free to contact me direct on

It was a great night and should be repeated as has been suggested, possible quarterly.

Have the fun was trying to buttonhole people who looked interesting. However, I would support the idea of coloured badges, it would help enormously in knowing who you were dealing with!

Maybe using something like MySpace for people to show their photo and identify the sort of people they want to meet. Those who wanted to meet them could leave their photo, name and a few details to help spot who was who!

I'd like to see a monthly event also, and agree that colour coded badges might be the best approach next time. It was a little difficult to see people's names & companies on their badges due to their size and (often) illegibility.

Perhaps we could look at (for smaller events) a speed-dating system so that you get to speak to more people than traditional networking event.

    Thanks for organising it everyone!

Was really good to have the chance to meet so many people working in the same area - yet there was so little time to talk to more than a small percentage of everyone who was there. Would be great to have a more regular event and quarterly sounds like a good option.

Looking forward to the next one!

Please hold again at least quarterly as I found this networking event very useful.
