The European market for IPTV services will more than double this year, with much of this growth coming from the UK, according to research from media analysts Screen Digest.
The report looks at IPTV services across Europe, and predicts that subscriptions to these services will rise from 2.9m in 2006 to 5.6m in 2007.

Dave Sifry has just published a post talking up recent traffic figures for blog search engine Technorati - prompting speculation that he is trying to attract a buyer for the site.
According to Sifry's post, Technorati has experienced astonishing growth in visitor numbers, with 9m users in March this year, compared with 3.5m in January. In addition, page views rose by 53% in March, and 141% since January.
Existing websites don't normally double or triple traffic in the space of 8 weeks, so that's an unbelievably fine effort.

Less than a third of 11-20 year olds want to receive ads on their mobiles, according to a survey by Q Research.
The study, published in the report ‘Mobiles and Advertising’, suggests that targeting of ads is the key to success with this age group - 71% said they would be happy to receive messages tailored to their interests.

Online measurement firm comScore is planning to raise as much as $86.3m in a listing on Nasdaq.

Global Media, the parent company of UK digital marketing agency Bigmouthmedia, has acquired South Korean search engine marketing provider Namu Communications.
Global Media hopes the move will boost its position in Asia market, acquiring 613 of Namu's clients along with the deal.

Rusian book, music and game retailer Ozon.ru has landed £9.1m in an investment round led by Index Ventures, and also involving Holtzbrinck Ventures and Cisco Systems.
Ozon.ru intends to use the capital to develop its logistics, expand product lines and establish new distribution centres across Russia.
