I really rate the best practice guides that eConsultancy publishes for its members. I've read a few now and found each of them very helpful.

The one thing I don't find helpful, however, is the PDF format that the reports come in. I don't like to print stuff and a PDF can't be easily read on anything other than a computer monitor. Given modern technology, I think it'd be great if eConsultancy considered making the reports available in ePub so that I could read it on my Kindle, or in iBooks format so that it could be read on an iDevice.

Does anyone else think that this would be really good?

Thanks for your feedback Michael. Great to hear you value the Best Practice Guides.

We have considered publishing the reports in different formats, but at the moment we have no plans to change from PDF. However, you should be able to import your reports into iBooks and read them through your Apple devices.

Thanks Andrew, that's a good point and I appreciate that you can read PDFs on an iPad, though I what I should have mentioned was all the additional functionality that other formats would bring, such as the ability to read reports across multiple devices, makes notes, insert bookmarks etc. That would be really useful, especially for the longer reports.

But still, I appreciate that it's not on your radar at the moment.

Oh wait, you can do all that in iBooks? That's pretty cool.
