Hello, are there any tools out there (preferably free) that allow me to see what online marketing activity my competitors are doing and what they're spending? Thanks.
http://spyfu.com is really good for looking at competitiors search marketing activity. It is free but you can also sign upto their membership which gives you more access to industry trends.
Thanks for sharing the info on SpuFu. I would use with caution though. We just ran some tests here on a number of our clients PPC accounts to see what it would come back with, and have to say it was completely inaccurate. It came back with keyword results that were completely wrong, and spend estimations were 1000% out.

Hi Sharon,
I would agree with Saman. This sort of tools, although on occassions may appear useful, they are often inaccurate and may rely of invalid or false information.
Econsultancy's Australia and New Zealand Internet Statistics Compendium is a comprehensive collection of the most recent statistics and market data publicly available on online marketing, e-commerce, the internet and related digital media within the region.
Produced in collaboration with the Society of Digital Agencies (SoDA), this report includes highlights from the Digital Marketing Outlook survey, which attracted 814 respondents from leading agencies and global companies. The report offers insights into future shifts in marketing, such as the importance of humanizing data, creating credible content, and why user-centric design deserves greater attention.
