About Cedric Devitt
Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Cedric studied History at Trinity College Dublin. Unable to find work as an apprentice historian, he decided to pursue a career in advertising instead.
His first job was a short stint at Berlin Cameron Doyle, followed by a longer one at Grey Advertising. In 2000, Cedric decided the future was digital and went to work at Tribal DDB, where he helped lead the creative vision for almost a decade.
In 2010 he joined LBi and launched the US office in New York, his work has won numerous awards for Coca-Cola, Sony, Americans Elect, Philips, Cuervo, Guinness, and Hendrickās Gin, and has been featured in The New York Times, CNN, ABC, USA Today, and the usual marketing trades.
In his spare time, he co-founded the US Air Guitar Championships and produced Air Guitar Nation, an award-winning feature documentary about the rise of competitive air guitar. He also co-founded, Schmedlines, a popular daily news headline writing competition.
