Starting Out with Emarketing

Hi All,

I run sales and marketing for a medium sized travel business. We have recently emerged from the technological dark ages and have upgraded our CRM systems and have the ability to start executing some emarketing campaigns at our existing customers.

I want to start with some simple - "i see you've stopped booking, please come back", and "you're company has an account with us, why not make a booking" type campaigns. We have little in-house experience but I wish to run some test campaigns to start us on an e-marketing path and demonstrate the value of this approach to myself and the other members of the management group.

In terms of technology I'd like to start using something that integrates nicely with salesforce.com.

I have a preference for working with someone initially on a freelance basis, as I would consider this to be very much a low cost trial/first tentative steps in the world of emarketing. If any of you would be interested or are available to help please let me know.

She:
1. Used to do email for ebay.
2. Was email strategy director at Ogilvy.
3. Speaks all of the world
4. Founded the 'email marketers club' with a few thousand members.
5. Runs b2bemailmarketing.com
Her day rate will pay for itself several times over.

Aside from that, if you're just 'testing the water', MailChimp integrates with SalesForce (& is probably the best 'test the water' email marketing app out there).

You could try communigator.co.uk, they do a managed service and will take on a trial project. They also have integration to salesforce.com

Thanks for the resposes. To be honest I don't mind a blatant sales pitch but I recognise that you might not want to do it in open forum like this.

I checked out Chimp - it looks good but ideally I'm looking for someone to come in and point us at the right technology, and design and execute a couple of starter campaigns that I have written an outline brief for.
