About the course
Overview
Trading in online advertising can seem intimidating with jargon, different pricing metrics and a host of different revenue streams often adding to the confusion.
This course will provide you with the confidence and tools needed to begin capitalising on the revenue opportunities offered by this fast-growing advertising medium.
Who should attend?
This course is for anyone from Classified Executives to Key Account Managers, looking to maximise and realise the full commercial potential of their website and inventory. Whether you are a publisher (including print, TV, radio, or in fact any content owner) looking for new commercial ideas and sales techniques to maximise your revenue, or a website owner wanting to monetise the traffic on your site then this course is perfectly tailored for you.
How will I benefit?
Understanding the key differences between traditional and online advertising models will enable you to pitch effectively and price the most suitable online solutions for your client base or business. You will be able to demystify online terminology, and with guidance, devise and present a compelling business case for digital advertising based on projected returns.
What will I learn?
The full and latest range of commercial revenue streams available within the industry and how to make them work effectively and profitably for your business. From the merits and limitations of search advertising, to launching, populating and increasing your revenue through new advertising mediums. You will also learn how a well-structured and written proposal helps you secure premium campaigns and acquire the knowledge, know-how and confidence to deliver them.

Director, Red Charger Digital
I have been working in online advertising predominantly with EMAP since 2000, this makes me something of an industry OAP! I launched Red Charger Digital in March 2007 delivering tailored online sales training courses for publishers including IPC, National Magazines and EMAP ensuring sales teams are equipped with the knowledge, expertise and confidence to harness the maximum spend for their multiplatform brands.
I also continue to "practice what I preach" through handling the online advertising for several high profile websites within the automotive vertical, specialising in delivering premium online advertising and consultancy.
I have an insatiable passion for the industry, it's a career which I feel very lucky to say is also a hobby.
