This week we’ve gone live with our 2009 Affiliate Census surveys which are aimed at producing comprehensive overviews of both the US and UK affiliate marketplaces, from the perspective of publishers.
This research follows our inaugural Affiliate Census published in 2007 which gave some much-needed insight into affiliate businesses, the affiliate lifestyle and relationships between publishers and networks.
The surveys cover most of the areas we focused on for the first census, but we have also included various new questions, some of which relate to current market trends and issues such as the rise of voucher sites, the recession and the involvement of Google in the performance arena.
It will be fascinating to see the balance between different types of affiliate and how the mix is changing between areas such as PPC, True Content and Email.
As was the case last time, we’ve also worked in conjunction with Jess Luthi at AffiliateProgramAdvice.com to help get this research off the ground.
