The Star trek one is slightly reminiscent of the DVD Interface for the Original Hellboy DVD

I Cant quite see what is so good about the two that I looked at: polaris and havana.  Polaris particularly just seems to be particularly dull.  Havana seems to be just a film? I think flash sites are big waste of time generally and this lot have done nothing to dispel the thought - sorry.

Each to their own but I for one did a double take when I saw "really cool" and "Flash websites" in the same sentence...

I agree with Robert and Chris.  Flash is overused and unnecessary in most circumstances.

Its is fine when used in small doses, but on the whole, why build a Flash site when decent CSS and Jquery will suffice and is a hell of a lot more accessible.

Car manufacturuer websites seems to be particularly prone to attacks of the 'Flash' demons...

Obviously there's always been a strong connection between graphics/aestethics and Flash. These sort of campaign sites might be one thing, but lets not forget that Flash content can be used to enhance and complement static content on a site. In some cases even make it more accessible.

I try not to recommend use of flash unless there is immense value add. Partly because it alienates folks browsing with a mobile device.

Trying a clean simple approach to Flash.  Agree with Mark though, even ours leaves mobile a bit hungry.  The Flash on http://www.nonsek,com does a nice job of bringing art and commerce together.  Cheers!

time has changed now people apart from just getting the information within a click look for better interactivity and sparkle and shine as well!! for example the umbro one. I mean that umbro websites gives you feeling of being in the showroom itself. So flash is good for web pages as far as you have access to flashy ISP like bullet !!
