With a population of 1.21bn, you would think that India would be a massive market for e-commerce, but it is worth just $10bn.
By comparison, the US e-commerce market is worth $167bn while in China, with a population of 1.33bn, online retail was worth around $83bn.
This suggests that there is still plenty of room for growth, and this infographic from ReferralCandy has some useful stats on the barriers to growth...

The first image has an error because it includes Sri Lanka (the island in the south of the map)

This is great information presented very cleverly. I'd love to see something similar for China.

From people I have spoken to in the same game as us and also in business in general, I have never had a fully positive response as to workmanship. Also, the big thing holding back the market is the quality of the programming and also the level of communication that can be held.
Where I have heard good things however is the SEO done out there.

Good infographic, thanks!
I own and operate my web business from India, and I do agree to the information given.
Internet penetration is indeed low, and so is credit card usage. Whatever ‘real’ ecommerce happens is in the discount sites like Flipcart, Koovs, etc. and in Indian Railways ticket booking site, IRCTC, and some in air/holiday booking sites.
Try selling something else…it doesn’t succeed. There isn’t much eBay could do except paving the way for the likes of Flipcart.
It remains to be seen if Amazon can pry open the Indian market. This is very important because I’m aware of people in India who trust/buy from Amazon USA rather than from Indian ecom offshoots. Obviously Amazon has all of these data and know where they stand in India.

For the game to sharpen your child's mind and teach him ways to overcome the conflicts of life in any situation if you can play games when you are in can be in a state of fatigue or hunger. Each game will eliminate fatigue and will make you very aggressive. Some say that online games are not good for children as they make them dull and uninspiring, but it is difficult to buy or, for there is written evidence that children who play online games with some excellent ideas to overcome some difficulties and problems have many fun Juegos
