News Corporation is reportedly considering a deal with Yahoo! that would see the group transferring its social network MySpace to Yahoo! in return for a 25% stake in the combined company.
The Times is reporting that negotiations between the two companies are tentative, and may be under threat after Terry Semel's replacement by Jerry Yang as Yahoo CEO.

Any decision on a website's navigation is critical to usability, findability, accessibility and SEO. It can be difficult to undo if you select a poor design. So usable navigation is best established early on in a web project.
There are many different examples of main navigation systems, (i.e. the main method for accessing content in different site sections) but the 'three Cs' of convention, consistency and context are important whatever the design.

Britons who refuse to shop online due to security fears could be missing out on annual savings of £175m to £375m, according to a government study.
The Office of Fair Trading's Internet Shopping study (pdf) found a high level of worry among consumers about risks involved in using credit cards to make web payments - but it's worry that is often unnecessary.

Trivop, the recently launched video guide for hotels, has just closed a round of early-stage funding from angel investors.
According to Travolution, the French startup has received around EU600,000 (£405,000) from seven angel investors including Loic Le Meur, chairman of Six Apart Europe; Morten Lund, who has previously invested in Skype; and the founders of Pixmania, Steve and Jean-Emile Rosenblum.

MyStrands, a music recommendation site based in Spain, has announced that it has received $25m (£12.5m) in second round funding.
This round was led by 25 year-old Spanish media mogul Antonio Asensio, who owns Grupo Zeta, the third largest media group in Spain, and brings the total funding raised by MyStrands to $31m (£15.6m).

Italy's online tourism industry was thrown into chaos when thousands of tourism websites were shut down by a software infection that takes over users' computers.
Nicknamed 'The Italian Job' by security experts, the attack began last week and claimed around 10,000 sites by Monday morning.
