About Me

Katherine specialises in innovative methods of user research and applying participative design techniques. She has worked on many creative projects, drawing on tools such as probes, personas and storyboards to help communicate the findings of her research to designers.

She has worked across many different industries such as travel, e-comerce, mobile, medical, financial and media and conducted research with a wide range of users including children, the elderly and people with disabilities.

Katherine also has a qualification in project management and has managed complex projects around the world.

Career History

User researcher at PDD
From March 1, 2005 until June 1, 2004.

Prior to joining System Concepts, Katherine worked as a user researcher for a product design consultancy, PDD. She worked on projects including consumer, medical, military and telecommunications products and completed a number of ethnographic research projects.

Education and Qualifications

Katherine holds a first class honours degree in Ergonomics from Loughborough University and won the Ergonomics prize for academic excellence. She is also a registered member of the Ergonomics Society and holds a project management qualification (APMP).
