1991-1993 The Disney Store, Inc., Glendale, CA
Vice President Marketing/Advertising Creative Director
• Managed a $20 million budget – hired and led a team of 25 in-house and 65 freelance illustrators, photographers and art designers. Reported directly to the President of The Disney Stores.
• Conceptualized and designed several new products that delivered over $75 million in sales including: figurines, the collector’s edition of Disney watches/Mickey Mouse Artist Series watches.
• Led three Christmas holiday campaigns – each representing 35% of The Disney Store’s total annual revenues – designed more than 150 special holiday products for each campaign.
• Developed the first The Disney Store global branding guide in five languages and the first branding guides for the Disney Standard Characters (Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofey, Donald Duck) and 23 classic animated features including: The Lion King, Snow White and Peter Pan.
• Concepted and oversaw a team of 15 Disney Character Artists creating original artwork for all merchandise and packaging.
• Led Product ,branding and advertising,of more than 400 stores around the world, in 5 countries and 4 languages
• Oversaw launch of The Disney Catalog and managed all creative aspects of the ongoing business,from Disney store credit card program to seasonal promotions and in-store support .
