As a marketer, I figured out how to build my first 17-page website in Notepad in 1995. Ever since that moment of enlightenment when I got my own hypertext link to work for the first time, I have thrived on discovering how we as marketers can make [what we now call] digital strategies advance successful businesses.
From the early days of websites to online advertising to web analytics to search to social media to mobile and beyond, I've established my career around being the guy who recommends practical digital solutions (as opposed to bright and shiny ones).
I've always either been an entrepreneur or in roles that were entrepreneurial by nature.
