About Me

After getting a Master’s Degree in International Relations form BYU, Dave Jenkins started his Internet-centric career by founding a design and development studio in 1997, which developed many early version websites for national clients.  He then joined Red Hat in 2001 as a program manager, and oversaw operations for professional services in Washington DC, London, Tokyo, and Seoul, where he ran multi-million dollar infrastructure deployments to banks, engineering companies, and hardware partners such as Nokia, NEC, Fujitsu, Hitachi, and Samsung.  Dave then returned to the United States in 2004 to join Backcountry.com, where he served as CTO to run an engineering department of 35 developers, DBAs, and designers.  Backcountry.com grew from $53M to $127M during his tenure.  In 2007, Dave started with Brown Shoe Company in St Louis to run strategy for their online operations including shoes.com and famousfootwear.com, before moving to the International division where he launched websites in China and partnered with distributors in Japan, Singapore, and Korea.  Dave is fluent in Japanese, and conversational in Korean, Chinese, and some Spanish.

Dave Jenkins currently serves as Vice President for Marketing and Ecommerce for Living Direct.
