About Me
In 2006, after 6 years as an editor and writer in lifestyle journalism, I moved into copywriting for print and web.
I then joined Bettys & Taylors Group (BTG) in 2008 as Creative Copywriter, establishing and managing tone of voice for all brands, including Yorkshire Tea, the third-biggest black tea brand in the UK.
Early in 2009, I established and managed a Twitter account for Yorkshire Tea and introduced social media activity to BTG, growing it across key social platforms, including Facebook.
Multi-channel dialogue is now a integral part of our brand communications strategy, as evidenced by the Yorkshire Tea 'Let's Have a Proper Brew' campaign, where social media was used to amplify and extend a TV campaign that showed our staff touring America to 'rescue Brits abroad from terrible tea'.
My current role of Brand Communications Manager now includes ensuring consistency and driving engagement across all aspects of brand dialogue, from online and social to PR, experiential activity and customer service, for all brands.
