About Me

I am a highly determined, motivated, focused and ambitious Account Manager with over three and half years agency experience and over twelve months client side marketing experience. I am now looking for a fresh challenge within a forward thinking agency in order to help develop my knowledge, skills, experience and insight further.

Career History

Account Manager at KLM, Birmingham
From August 4, 2008 until April 1, 2009.

Experience gained on accounts such as BSkyB, Sky News, SkyBet, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Diageo. Responsibilities include the project management and administration of a monthly, 170 page, television programming publication for Sky, including client briefings, management of the creative process, presenting creative concepts, proof reading, managing overall timings, client amends & approvals. This is a large design job and involves liaising with the client, channels and third parties as well as the internal creative and design teams to ensure high quality creative, client service and production are achieved, and every issue is delivered on time and on budget. Other work has included advertising for Sky News within Trade publications such as Internationalist, Campaign and Media Week and promotional management and fulfillment for SkyBet. Work for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has involved a POS audit and presentation, 2009 marketing activity calendar and interactive banner ads, whilst also being responsible for a competitor audit and On Trade training research for the international beer, wine and spirits company, Diageo. Responsibilities have also included PR management and raising awareness of the agency and their services, to drive new business. Through supply of press releases to press and trade contacts and as Webmaster for the agency website; liaising with account teams, establishing content and updating the agency site.

Account Executive at Lavery Rowe Advertising, Birmingham
From September 1, 2005 until August 4, 2008.

Responsibilities included liaising with clients to discuss marketing requirements and taking briefs, copywriting, media buying and scheduling for clients, briefing the design studio of all client requirements and working with them to deliver effective results. Liaising with production to ensure jobs are completed on time and meet copy deadlines for selected media as well as monitoring all payment received by my clients and chasing any non-payments, which may occur. Assisting the Managing Director and New Business Executive in presenting Lavery Rowe pitch to clients and prospective clients, including media proposals advising of all media opportunities available along with estimated buying costs. I was responsible for preparing all digital proposals, quotations, scheduling and establishing relationships with all digital partners and client website owners. Campaign experience included affiliate advertising, PPC advertising, new website structure, content creation & management, analytics reports, domain name registration and email campaigns. I also enjoyed constantly monitoring new media developments and opportunities through industry publications.

Marketing Assistant at INA Bearing Company Ltd
From September 1, 2003 until September 1, 2004.

Liaised with advertising and PR agencies on a variety of projects. Designed and implemented a sales lead database in order to successfully close out all sales leads generated as a result of all marketing activities. Trained the department and manager in the use of a bespoke sales software. Identified and helped implement an internal marketing communications strategy raising awareness of internal marketing. I also spent a week at INA’s creative marketing consultancy in Nottingham where I created and developed a marketing plan for a client who had previously done little in the way of active marketing, the main goal being to increase awareness of the company and its capabilities.
