Online Experience Executive at bmi British Midland International
From October 1, 2010 and still in this role.
Maintenance of flybmi.com via in-house CMS system. Covers general site admin, upkeep of existing content and information via internal product information communications, management of content for international langue sites (Belgian, German, Russian, Arabic), SEO requirements, landing pages for offers, graphic design and executing sales promotions. Main point of contact for ad hoc changes, and responsibility for locating, reviewing and updating information across relevant pages/websites.
o Development and design of flybmi.com and associated online booking engine, through use of Visual Studio Team System and Balsamiq Mockups. Covers short term improvements to long term projects, such as improved homepage design, development of low fare finder system, and a site-wide revision of page templates, design, functionality and content.
o Management of regular lowest fares database, liaising with pricing/revenue management departments, affiliates manager and other contacts to edit, maintain and distribute fares.
o Taken a lead role in projects which have delivered growth in daily unique visitors (by 38.3%), bookings (by 25.3%) and a revenue increase of 32.6% (fare only 21.7%). Projects included redesign of flybmi.com home page and content pages and full audit of the Russian language site. Worked with Omniture to analyse statistical developments.
Web & Systems Officer/Senior Marketing Officer at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre
From October 1, 2001 until August 1, 2010.
Responsibility for new media including company website design, content, development and administration, podcasts and digital artwork. Creating and delivering content as required for a variety of online and digital marketing contracts (i.e. website advert banners and animations for local businesses an arts organisations).
o Creating and managing Theatre accounts across a variety of social networking sites including Facebook, MySpace, Tumblr and Blogger.
o Lead content creation for the theatre’s internal LCD video screen display system, and DVD slideshows for the projector unit in the auditorium.
o Significant contributor to building IT infrastructure, handling user queries and developing departmental systems.
o Professional relationships with local press and media, mailing houses suppliers, design agencies, advertisers and other arts organisations.
o Maintenance and distribution of a monthly e-newsletter to over 3,500 subscribers, plus using Purple Seven e-mail authoring software to create and deliver e-newsletters and e-flyers to our client database as required.
o Arranging mailing shots, from composing salesletters to liaising with mailing houses and organising print for collection.
