Senior Account Manager (3 month contract) at Concep Evolution
From September 23, 2009 until December 22, 2009.

From October 31, 2006 until August 7, 2009.

ILN develop successful digital projects for leading clients in the travel and luxury sectors. We also create engaging customer magazines which often integrate with digital projects. www.bicestervillage.com Managing the content creation for 9 designer discounted outlets across Europe. Translation into 6 European languages. Working closely with our development partner (POD1) we created inspirational sites for all 9 outlets. www.emt.co.uk Managing the redesign of the emt.co.uk site and integration with a new booking engine. www.southwesttrains.co.uk Involved project management of all digital marketing projects within the website or via email campaigns with a total marketing budget of over £200k. Frequently required high-profile campaigns to be integrated into the website (and SEO optimised) to tie-in with press, posters, PPC and online banner ads. Conversion from these campaigns helped to double booking engine revenue in a year. GNER trains (now National Express East Coast) Managed digital projects for GNER trains which involved managing the website, microsites and the creation and send of many email campaigns (often back-to-back!). Managed a total marketing budget of over £300k. Orient Express Continued my print experience at ILN with the management of printed brochures for the Orient Express group of trains and hotels.

Account Manager at Fin International
From June 7, 2004 until October 27, 2006.

Fin provides marketing communications consultancy for major clients within financial services and related industries. I managed a number of accounts with their major clients and specialised in the management of all digital projects (including websites and email campaigns). This involved creation of the following websites: oxera.com, galena-invest.com, equitytrust.com and fininternational.com. My work with Oxera (an economics consultancy) involved project management of their new website and monthly email campaigns, and printed DM campaigns to tie in with their launch. A successful integrated campaign, resulting in significant business revenue coming from the site, as well as helping position Oxera as ‘The Respected Voice’ within their field.

Development Co-ordinator – Knowledge at Design Council
From June 7, 1999 until March 3, 2004.

•Promoted into various roles during my 5 years at the Design Council. •Started in 1999 as editor for the Design Council’s website. •Joined the Design & Innovation Team in 2001 where I co-ordinated a major European Commission funded research project entitled ‘Design for Future Needs’. •In 2003 I became the project manager for internal communications at the Design Council. •Within this role I implemented a new intranet at the Design Council which involved tendering and briefing, to managing the integration of the site into working practices at the Design Council, and conducting an evaluation to see whether it proved to be a useful tool for the team. •I continued developing my design knowledge by judging packaging design awards. Awards judged included the ‘Shine Awards’ organised by Glasspac, the packaging promotions arm of British Glass. I was also guest speaker at the Shine Awards prize giving ceremony.

Training Officer, Sainsbury's to you, Pilot Service & Regional Project Management Team at Sainsbury’s Supermarkets
From October 1, 1997 until October 1, 1998.

•Involved recruiting customers to the pilot home shopping service and often incorporated collaboration with the Head Office team in developing the service. •Promoted to work within a project management team implementing home shopping within several Sainsbury’s stores. •Our role was to implement all aspects of a new ‘Orderline’ department (now known as ‘Sainsbury’s to You’) - from recruiting personnel to supporting the initial go live period. •Specific role within this team was to train Orderline personnel (from personal shoppers to department managers). Also included management of departments when required, and departmental audits.

    Design Studies Year 3 (major ‘self-directed’ project): analysing and researching the management of projects within packaging design consultancies, incorporating consultation with design consultancies and major client companies.

    The aim of this broad study, focusing particularly on design management, was to equip students with knowledge and experience of design practice, design management, and understanding of its place with marketing in the business mix.
