About the event
Overview
Digital Sail from Econsultancy is now in its third year for a day of digital 'piracy' on a glorious day on the Solent. The aims of Digital Sail aren't lofty — just to get together the key buyers, providers, movers and shakers of the digital marketing and e-commerce industries to have some fun, meet each other and race each other round the Solent.
You can either sponsor a boat for the day and bring along up to 10 of you in the team or you can just book individual places and come along to network and join others in a mixed team. Alternatively, if you have your own boat (and can bring it to Portsmouth for the races) then you are welcome to bring it along too.

Programme
| 09:00 | Arrival at Gunwharf Quay, Portsmouth. Breakfast of hot bacon rolls, pastries, tea and coffee. |
| 10:00 | After a safety briefing, all yachts will drop their lines and motor the short distance out into the Solent. The sails are then hoisted & the skipper encourages all crew to take part in sailing the yacht from helming, sail trimming, tacking & gibing. Crew are encouraged to rotate around the roles, finding naturally the position they enjoy. The yachts will then head over to moor up in Cowes for a BBQ lunch. |
| 12:30 – 14:30 | Time to recharge those batteries with a BBQ lunch served ashore in Cowes with plenty of time for networking. |
| 14:30 | Time to re-board the yachts & put your new-found sailing skills to the test. After a spot of fine tuning & a pre-race pep talk from your skipper, yachts will enjoy a match racing regatta, using the elements and skills of all onboard. |
| 17:30 | Cocktails and networking in the bar on dry land. |
Who should attend?
Anyone who fancies some sailing (beginners welcome!) and some informal networking with other senior professionals working in digital marketing or ecommerce.
Cost details
There are three options for the event:
- Sponsor your very own boat with 10 places for you and your guests together with two expert crew on board - £2,950+VAT including all equipment, lunch, drinks, prizes etc
- Buy individual places at £395 each - including all equipment, lunch, drinks, prizes etc
