I run two separate online brands and am considering launching an additional one. Not looking for heavy agency input necessarily but would be interested to find someone with history of brand resolution / development to help facilitate this. Anyone out there?

I used to run two separate sites selling brands of cutlery - Viners.co.uk and Oneida.co.uk. These are owned by the same company (Oneida) which has physical stores which are branded Oneida, although Viners is a more well-known brand in the UK with bigger sales (online and offline).
I actually had the opposite issue - whether we should have two sites or just the one. In a sense the sites were competing against each in PPC and SEO, but at the same time it's better to occupy more of the search results by showing both sites.
It depends very much on the type of product and the appeal of the two brands. In my case the products were a one-off purchase (you only need one cutlery set) and the brands had quite different target audience (Oneida more luxury, Viners more mid-market) so overall it was beneficial to have two sites. This also meant email marketing was more targetted and effective.
Or there are ecommerce platforms where customers can move between different sites (with different URLs) with the same shopping basket, so you could have a completely different look and feel for different brands but give customers the benefit of one checkout.
Hope this is interesting/ useful?

I agree with Helen. It very much depends on the products, the brands and basically...your offline business/marketing plan.
