Hi there, wondering if someone has any knowledge of this as it was mentioned to a colleague but they can't remember the details - someone mentioned that there are universities that will do usability testing for free and seeing as we are on a tight budget this seemed a valid option for us rather than doing none at all.
Has anyone heard of this and if so do they know what universities?
thanks in advance

Vickie, I don't remember the name of these universities on top of my head but, there are few in United States. I would like to introduce you to Michael Summers who runs the Usability Lab at GSI Commerce (Pennsylvania, USA) and has worked with Universities in the past. I am sure, he can direct you to the right universities. He is among the Top 10 Usability Guys in the Industry.
You can initiate a dialogue with him via LinkedIn. Let me know if you face any problem and I will introduce you to him.

Hi there Sashant,
I'm really sorry I haven't responded to this, I didn't get an email notification there had been a response! Ever so sorry.
Thanks for the info but I actually need UK uni's as otherwise the findings will be skewed towards the US user who's needs, expectations etc are quite different from the UK.
Thanks tho! Have a great Christmas.
