I'm in the process of attempting to shift about 20 domain names from Netnames to gandi.net.
I decided to try it with our own home domain name first to familiarise myself with the process.
Netnames keep claiming it's been sorted when obviously it hasn't as no emails have been received. I'm disgusted with the level of incompetance and am planning a name and shame campaign. If anyone has any contacts for people high up in the company please let me know as I still haven't completed this process despite lots of phone calls and yes, some shouting.
It gets worse, they're now trying to charge us £99 for the transfer and have tried to bill us twice. I'm totally fed up with these people, who do they think they are?
Again, any contacts in the upper echelons gratefully received.
Thanks Olivia, i had an excellent conversation and email from Ken Liscott at the Corporation Service Company who deals with Netname problems all the time. Am considering a blog posting and will ask Econsultancy to highlight it for me. I think it's time to expose the company as apparently most of their revenues are from transfer fees.
I'm still in the throes of dealing with this, and once it's done, there is a very interesting story to tell about what really goes on within their business.

Apologies for the ranting, I'm very very cross.

The above thought is smart and doesn’t require any further addition.
It’s perfect thought from my side.
