I'm looking for a good design and build agency with strong credentials in e-commerce as well as experience of working with mail order companies. Any ideas gratefully received.
What is your budget and what are your specific requirements?

Hi Diane, It's probably cheeky recommending ourselves but we are established and dedicated to customer service. We took http://www.corpteluk.com from a traditional catalogue company to now doing much of their business online, this has meant integrating with a raft legacy application. I'm sure we can help.
ps - I only ask what your budget is as an enterprise level ecommerce build will be 6 figures. easily. There are only about 3-4 big vendors in the UK that can handle enterprise level builds...

Hi Jon,
We've got an existng website - but I'm less than happy with the look/design, the clunkiness (highly tech term!) of the content managment system and the overall service/support we're getting. We're a small company so a budget of hundreds of thousands is way out of our league. rgds Diane

I'm very interested in your posting. We're a small IT company based near Bath. We have strategic partnerships with a number of usability and creative companies so can deliver a "full" service offering.
I'd love to share with you some of the projects we are working on. I think you will find them very interesting. Please get in touch via our website.
We have been around since 1997, and 100 sites later, much of our work is wholesale, coming from other agencies.
We have our own, not so clunky, Content Management System or can support existing ones. In the case of www.CorptelUK.com most content is fed through web services from their corporate stock and inventory system to the CMS. Our projects range from 8k to 60k, with most somewhere in the middle.
Our customers are more like partners, our service reflects this relationship. We have great staff and customer retention, more than five years is not unusual for us.
We are really interested in usability and standard. All new sites are completely built using .css layouts, without using off-the-shelf templates.
I'll give you some more reference sites and some customers you can call.
Regards, Darius
